Based in Plymouth and Torquay, Noah’s Ark offer leading day care centres commended in Ofsted reports.
Noah’s Ark was established by Tim and Nyree Squires back in 1996. With a background in teaching we decided, on having our own children, to start offering the kind of quality childcare service we just couldn’t find anywhere. Starting out small in a church hall, we have steadily grown from our first nursery in Prince Rock to today having six centres across Devon.
Everything about our daycare services has been built around outstanding quality; experienced and qualified staff that really care, with carefully planned activity sessions to stimulate minds and prepare children for school mixed in with plenty of fun!
We create a family atmosphere and feel to each centre, working closely in partnership with parents to give every child the very best start in life and every parent the kind of flexible support they need to progress in their careers or just help with life in general; what unites our team is a love for children and a real desire to help families.
Close communication with parents is essential to us and for every new child we can come and visit you at home to make the transition easier. We will take you through our learning pack which helps everyone get to know each other from our ethos to yours, even your child’s sleep pattern and favourite foods. Just like schools we hold regular parents evenings and keep records of achievements you can look through at any time to see how your child is getting on.
Over time we’re proud to have built a reputation for the best quality childcare and we are often asked for consultation advice by other providers and local councils; we have even been to 10 Downing Street on one occasion! Our Ofsted reports are routinely full of praise with all requirements exceeded; we’re forward thinking and invest regularly in the latest training for our staff.
Courses and qualifications include the Early Years Professional Status, Qualified Teacher Status, NVQs, BTECs and NNEBs as well as essentials such as First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Protection, Baby Practice and Special Educational Needs. At every centre trainees learn alongside qualified staff, managers and deputies ensuring strong practical experience and a gradual building of responsibility.
